Logistics
Our first step is to determine if I am the person who is best suited to help you at this time. I offer a preliminary 15-minute phone call (no charge) so that we can explore your therapeutic goals and you can ask any questions you have about my approach.
If we’re a fit, we’ll begin regular sessions that support you as you build skills, insight, and clarity. I like to tell my clients that therapy isn’t forever. My goal is to help you develop your internal resources - and there will come a time when you won’t need ongoing support. Essentially, my goal is to help you develop a better sense of agency and to work my way out of a job.

Insurance
I do not accept insurance assignment, but a superbill can be generated for client visits which can then be submitted by the client to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service.
No Surprises
Suzanne Berndt is not in your health plan’s network and is considered an out-of-network provider.
The No Surprises Act requires that healthcare providers notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, if a client is uninsured, or if a client elects not to use their insurance.
The No Surprises Act was created to prevent surprise billing. Balance billing – or a surprise medical bill – happens when you get a bill from a doctor, laboratory, durable medical equipment provider, or other healthcare provider who is not part of your health plan’s network. Often, consumers do not know they are getting care from out-of-network providers.
You are never required to give up your protection from balance billing. You also are not required to get care out of network. You can choose a provider of facility in your plan’s network.
The links below provide more information about the No Surprises Act.

You have the right to a “Good Faith Estimate” of your expected charges.
